What has changed, and when
County surtaxes are voted in with expiry dates, so a rate can move without anyone legislating a new tax. Rates here are reviewed each November when the Department of Revenue publishes the new DR-15DSS, and whenever a Tax Information Publication announces a mid-year county change.

How an update gets made
Every rate on this site is generated from a single dataset, so an update is a change to that file rather than an edit to 67 pages. When the Department publishes a new DR-15DSS, the dataset is rebuilt from it, the difference against the previous year is what appears here as a change-log entry, and each county's last_verified date moves forward.
The current dataset was generated on from Florida Department of Revenue, Form DR-15DSS, Discretionary Sales Surtax Information. The methodology sets out how a figure is verified before it is published, and what is still outstanding.
